Abstract
With the faster development of urbanization and motorization,the problems of urban traffic are becoming more and more serious.Especially,traffic congestion of metropolitan has tremendous impacted urban economy,resident living and environment.The theme of 2nd council conference of Traffic and Transportation Forum 7+1 is urban traffic planning,construction and management.The conference used Beijing as an example,analyzed the present state,problems and trend of urban traffic,and formulated the goal and strategic measures of building new traffic system of Beijing.The thinking and application prospect of applying complex system theory to traffic problems was discussed on urban traffic structure,public transport priority,information technology,demand management, etc.
