Citation analysis of Chinese Journal of Neuroimmunology and Neurology during 2006 to 2010

Abstract
Objective To evaluate the academic level and the quality of Chinese Journal of Neuroimmunology and Neurology.Methods According to the information of China National Knowledge Internet(CNKI),the articles including original research articles,short reports of original studies,review and clinical case reports etc.from 2006 to 2010 were surveyed.The citation frequency,involved journal and the distributions of the authors were statistically analyzed.Results In 722 papers published during the period,308 articles were cited 777 times by 280 journals from CNKI,the average number of cited times was 1.08,the top value per article cited was 15 times.There were 37 authors whose articles were cited 7 and over times(12.01%).There were 3 leading periodicals to issue the relevant articles including Chinese Journal of Neuroimmunology and Neurology,Chinese Journal of Practical Nervous Diseases,Journal of Brain and Nervous Diseases(totally 109 times).15.24%(110 papers)articles supported from fund,among which the majority was the National Natural Science Foundation of China.Conclusions Chinese Journal of Neuroimmunology and Neurology has published high-quality articles.There are some amount of readers and stable related journals with increasing quality and academic level.
