Abstract

Zhang Zai considered that the emptiness was the universal ontology and the ultimate self of everything in the universe.Second,Zhang Zai's theory of human nature comprises both born nature and temperament.Be a person should pursue to become the sage.The cultivation theory have following two characteristicseses because of history and Confucian meaning.On the one hand,Zhang Zai think that process is very important,to some extent,the process is the state;on the other hand,the cultivation theory adjust the tendency of academic prevalent,and his ideal realm belonged to humanitarianism.
