Abstract
By analyzing the bubble formation process through the orifices in a viscous liquid,a theoretical model is developed for calculating the bubble diameter and the bubble formation process is simulated with FLUENT6.1 solver.The research indicates that the gas flow rate and orifice diameter are the key factors which control bubble formation, when material property is unchanged.The simulated result of bubble diameter agrees with the calculated in the low gas flow rate satisfactorily.
