County TB 2003～2008 Ruoergai direct sputum smear microscopy results

Objective:To Ruoergai County,the prevalence of tuberculosis,sputum smear to enhance the quality of management and improve the detection rate of sputum smear positive.Methods:According to China′s TB Control Program-sputum smear microscopy laboratory quality assurance manual, the use of direct sputum smear examination luxuriant Nissl staining method.Results:The rate of newly diagnosed smear-positive patients 33.8%,follow-up patients with smear-positive rate of 5.4%;male patients with newly diagnosed smear-positive rate of 30.1%,women newly diagnosed smear-positive rate of 38.9%.Young adults newly diagnosed smear-positive cases was higher than other age groups;caseous(purulent sputum) the highest rate of smear-positive;morning sputum,night-time the highest rate of sputum smear-positive.Conclusion:For patients qualified to step up publicity to retain the sputum sample,sputum night to strengthen the early morning sputum collection and examination,so as to further enhance the detection rate of tuberculosis patients.
