Abstract

Objective To discuss the prevalence and risk factors of fatty liver disease in Liwan District of Guangzhou City. Methods 800 community residents of Liwan District of Guangzhou City were investigated by random sampling method. The survey included questionnaire investigation, medical check-up, blood-fat examination and ultrasonography. Fatty liver disease prevalence of different crowd were compared, the related factors were analyzed. Results The total incidence of fatty liver disease was 21.0%. The incidence of fatty liver disease in male(26.75%) was higher than that in female(15.06%)(P 0.01). The TC, TG, HDL-C, LDL-C, SP and DP were higher in fatty liver disease group than in the non- fatty liver disease group(P 0.01). Logistic regression analysis revealed that risk factors of fatty liver disease included male, blood pressure, WHR, BMI, TC, DM and WC(P 0.05). Conclusion A high prevalence of fatty liver disease is found in Liwan District of Guangzhou City, the risk factors of fatty liver disease are associated with male, blood pressure, WHR, BMI, TC, DM and WC.
