Abstract
Objective:To investigate the prevalence and major risk factors of fatty liver among male fishmen in Zhoushan City. Methods: A cross-sectional survey with multiple-stage stratified cluster and radom sampling was performed to Male fishmen. Results: A total 3246 male fishmen took part in the survey. The prevalence of fatty liver in the male fishmen was 24.37%.The percents of alcoholic fatty liver, suspicious fatty liver, noalcoholic fatty liver were 38.05%,14.54% and 47.41% in cases with fatty liver.Divided by ages, the prevalences of fatty liver in youth group, middle age group, old age group were 14.87%,32.73%,25.30%,which were significant different with each other(P0.01).The prevalences of diseases such as high blood pressure and biochemical indicators such as fasting glucose level in fatty liver group were significant higher than them in non-fatty liver group(P0.01).Logistic regression analysis demonstrated that the prevalence of fatty liver correlated to these risk factors: age, hyperlipemia, type 2 diabetes mellitus, high blood pressure, drinking wine(P0.01 or P0.05).Conclusion: There is a high prevalence of fatty liver in middle age and old age male fishmen.Age,drinking wine,dyslipidemic-diabetic were more closely associated with fatty live.
