The application of psychological nursing in patients with fever in department of respiratory medicine

Objective To investigate the impact of psychological nursing on anxiety and satisfaction of patients with fever in department of respiratory medicine. Methods 240 cases of patients with fever in department of respiratory medicine in our hospital were selected and randomly divided into control group and intervention group,each group of120 cases.The psychological nursing was carried out in intervention group and routine nursing was used in control group.Self-rating anxiety scale(SAS)was used to assess psychological state,homemade satisfaction questionnaire was used to survey satisfaction of patient,the anxiety and satisfaction between two groups was compared respectively. Results The patients that had completed study were 102 cases in control group and 104 cases in intervention group.The SAS score in intervention group was(40.61 ±8.70) points,significantly lower than that in control group [(67.24 ±9.52)points](P0.05).Incidence rate of anxiety in intervention group was 23.1%,significantly lower than that in control group(52.9%),with statistical difference(P 0.05).The very satisfaction,basic satisfaction and unsatisfaction in intervention group was 36(34.6%),67(64.4%),1(1.0%)respectively,very satisfaction,basic satisfaction and unsatisfaction in control group was 27(26.4%),63(61.8%),12(11.8%).The very satisfaction rate in intervention group was significantly higher than that in control group,with statistical difference(P0.05). Conclusion The psychological nursing may improve the mental anxiety status of patients with fever in department of respiratory medicine and increase the satisfaction rate of patients.
