Clinical application of tube washer-disinfector in disinfection of breathing apparatus tube

OBJECTIVE To study the effect of tube washer-disinfector in the clinical application.METHODS The inner of the breathing apparatus tube,watertrap and Y-piece which were used by 36 patients in RICU.The swab were submitted for bacterial culture,and then bacterial culture was processed.Another way was to wash and disinfection the tube,watertrap and Y-piece with Sweden tube washer-disinfector for 2 hours,and then the microbe culture in the same way was processed.RESULTS Totally 63 percent of the prevention took from the 108 specimens without disinfection shows masculine.The prevention had 11 species,84 strains and most of them were drug-resistance bacteria.But none prevention showed masculine after disinfection.all of the Prevention had been killed.CONCLUSION Using the tube washer-disinfector is a new disinfection method,which is convenient,efficient,safe and reliable.It is worth popularizing in clinic.
