Effects of Pioglitazone on the Serum CRP and IL-6 Levels in Early Patients with Diabetic Nephropathy

Abstract

To study the effective treatment of pioglitazone in early patients with diabetes nephropathy(DN),the serum CRP and IL-6 levels in DN and DM patients were tested by RIA.The results showed that the serum levels of CRP and IL-6 in DN patients were higher than that in DM group and control group(P0.01).The serum CRP and IL-6 levels in DN patients were a significant reduction.There was a significant difference in serum CRP and IL-6 levels in patients before and after treatment with pioglitazone(P0.05).Pioglitazone may have significantly treatment effect in DN patients.
