The relativity between acute phase protein and IL-6 with diabetes nephropathy

Abstract

Objective To study the difference of the serum levels of C-reactive protein(CRP) and IL-6 in diabetes(DM) patients with or without diabetes nephropathy(DN).Methods The serum levels of CRP and IL-6 in patients with DN or DM was tested by way of immunoturbidimetry and radio-immunity.Results The serum levels of CRP and IL-6 in patients with DN was higher than patients with DM and blank control group evidently(P0.01).The serum levels of CRP and IL-6 in patients with DM was higher than blank control group(P0.01).Conclusion The serum levels of CRP and IL-6,the sensitive index of DN,was relative with the occurrence and progress of DM,and could ameliorate by intervention treatment.
