Influence of total bilirubin in serum in the determination of total protein in serum

Abstract

Objective To study the influence of total bilirubin in serum(TBil) in the determination of total protein in serum(TP).Methods Biuret method was used to measure the TP with different concentration of bilirubin.Results TP with adding bilirubin in serum was higher than TP without adding bilirubin in serum.Conclusion Seral TBil can influence the seral TP,which increases the value of TP in the serum.
