Abstract
Objective To study the efficacy and safety of treatment of high myopia with transparent lens phacoemulsification extraction combined with intraocular lens implantation. Methods 48 patients(60 eyes) high myopia were performed transparent lens phacoemulsification extraction combined with posterior chamber low degree or minus degree intraocular lens implantation. To observe the postoperative visual acuity and complication. Results The postoperative uncorrected visual acuity of all the patients were no less than the preoperative best corrected visual acuity. The preoperative corrected visual acuity was more than 0.5 in 28 eyes(46.67%), and the postoperative uncorrected visual acuity was more than 0.5 in 40 eyes(66.67%). During these operations, only one eye's posterior capsular was broken and intraocular lens was implanted in the ciliary groove.Other intraocular lens were implanted in capsulars. Following 6-18months postoperatively, there were no serious complication such as corneal edema and retinal detachment. Conclusions Transparent lens phacoemulsification extraction combined with intraocular lens implantation is an effectiveness and safety method for high myopia. The patient who was operated by this method would have a better visual acuity, a stable diopter, little complication and reliable curative effect.
