Abstract
According to the WIPO statistics,up to 2011 China has overtaken the United States as the world's largest patent application acception countries, from the total amount and growth rate,China has become a big country of patent application. For the development of China's patent work,in addition to the total amount of growth,we also need to pay attention to the structure of the patent application, the technology field layout and patent efficiency, quality and value, etc.By comparing China with the G8 of patent development in the patent application and authorization of the total quantity, structure and patent quality and output efficiency etc.,it is concluded that,as compared with the G8 countries, although the total amount of patent applications is optimistic, there are still some gaps in patent licensing, technological advantages, patent quality and efficiency. Finally this paper offers some suggestions on China's patent development.
