Review and reflection on the development of clinical pharmacy in China

AIM To accelerate the development of clinical pharmacy in China,on summing up the past experience and making corrections. METHODS By reviewing the developing process of clinical pharmacy,the experiences and deficiencies were summed up,which should help to successful development of the clinical pharmacy in right direction. RESULTS and CONCLUSION Chinese pharmacy predecessors' efforts to develop clinical pharmacy should be respected. Chinese clinical pharmacy should be developed in the correct direction. Pharmacists should keep in mind the idea ofchanging from the traditional model in pharmacy to a patient-centered model face-to-face to provide professional service for patients and clinicians with the principle of rational drug use. They should take responsibility to promote clinical pharmacy to develop smoothly and rapidly.
