Abstract
[Objective]To understand the content of fluorine in drinking water in rural areas of Ji'ning after the implementation of water-improving and defluoridation project, provide basis for the prevention and control of endemic fluorosis.[Methods]Drinking water samples collected from the rural areas of 8 counties, districts of Ji'ning city were tested for the content of fluorine after the implementation of water-improving and defluoridation projects in 2008.[Results]There were not any disinfection facilities in 138 monitoring spots,no defluoridation operation and deep-well water source accounted for 87.68%.276 water samples were tested in dry and wet season respectively, the qualified rate of fluoride in drinking water was 82.97% in dry season and 87.68% in wet season(P0.05).Of the 104 water samples collected during dry and wet season of the 52 monitoring spots with high content of fluoride, the qualified rate was 72.85% in dry season and 82.69% in wet season(P0.05).The water samples collected from Rencheng district,Zoucheng and Yanzhou city were up to standard. Some of the water samples collected from other 5 counties and cities exceeded the standard, there was a difference of the exceeded rate in dry and wet season(P0.01).The qualified rate was lower in Liangshan and Jinxiang county.[Conclusion]The excess standard rate of the content of fluoride in drinking water after the implementation of water-improving and defluoridation projects was higher in rural areas of Ji'ning city.
