Data Analysis of Rural Drinking Water Quality Examination in Binzhou City in 2008

Abstract

[Objective]To understand safety status of drinking water in rural area,provide a scientific basis for improving water source,perfect reconstruction and expending of rural water-supply project.[Methods]Examination data of water samples from drinking water supply in rural areas of 6 counties and 1 district of Binzhou city were analyzed in 2008.[Results]Of the 96 water samples tested,the qualified rate was 37.50%.The qualified rate of surface source water and ground source water was 56.25% and 18.75% respectively(P0.01).Of the 96 water samples tested,smell and taste,something visible to the naked eye,oxygen consumption,arsenic,nitrate nitrogen were all up to standard.The qualified rate of turbidity,iron manganese,chloride,sulfate,dissolved solid,total hardness,ammonia nitrogen,fluoride,total colony,coli group was 80.21%,92.71%,91.67%,68.75%,73.96%,77.08%,76.04%,93.75%,92.71%,54.17% and 79.17% respectively.The qualified rate of the content of the 11 items in water samples mentioned above was lower in ground water source than that in surface water source(P0.01 or 0.05).[Conclusion]The qualified rate of drinking water was lower in rural areas of Binzhou city,especially the water from ground water source.Chemical indicators were seriously over the standard,the water was contaminated with microbe.
