Abstract
Objective:To investigate the individual oral hygiene habits and periodontal pathogens distribution in middle-aged residents in Hangzhou city.Methods:Four hundred residents were involved in this questionnaire investigation,including the oral hygiene habits,oral hygiene index(OHI-S),gingival index(GI),ground diagnostics hemorrhage(BOP),periodontal pocket depth of diagnostic agents(PD),clinical attachment loss(CAL),mobility degree(M) and rest teeth number,and the periodontal pathogens were detected too.Results:The personal oral hygiene habit,hygiene situation and periodontal health degree had significant difference among the 400 respondents,and the pathogens distribution was found vary.Conclusion:The personal oral hygiene habit and hygiene situation has a certain correlation to career.It is necessary to strengthen oral prevention and carry out community oral hygiene service to reduce the incidence of periodontal diseases.
