Abstract

Singing Road-blockSongs is one of the most important rites for Dong Nationality to express their welcome to their visiting guests.Such a music form reflects their optimistic attitudes toward life and their humorous nature,and it has a close relationship with their daily life.It is also of help in researches on their marriage relations,social structure and spiritual life.This paper has founded that the Road-block songs are varied in different regions where Dong Nationality lives.The Road-blocksongs in Longtu,Congjiang County,Guizhou province,for example,are composed of five parts,namely,Aohaiding,Bacuo,Gabiyou,Gawuand Ganai.
