Abstract

Objective To observe the application effect of anti-bacterial agents in the treatment of acute upper respiratory tract infection. Methods From Oct. 2010 to Dec. 2011 in Haian County People's Hospital,104 cases of acute upper respiratory tract infection were randomly divided into two groups according to number table method following the principle of informed consent, which were given antiviral treatment in different manners: 50 cases of control group with full course use of anti-bacterial agents,54 cases of observation group with postponed use of anti-bacterial agents, and the medication effects of the two groups were compared. Results The total effective rate of observation group was 96. 3%,of the control group was 92. 0%, there was no significant difference between the two groups( P 0. 05); the treatment course of observation group( 4. 3 ± 0. 6) d was significantly shorter than the control group, and the referral rate was significantly lower than the control group( 5. 5 ± 0. 7) d( t = 9. 179,P = 0. 001); the referral rate of the observation group was 7. 4%,significantly lower than the control group's 22. 0%( χ2= 4. 479,P 0. 05); the adverse reaction rate of observation group was 11. 1% and the control group was 26. 0%,there was significant differences betweenthe two groups( P 0. 05); three days and one week after treatment, the leukocyte count( 9. 4 ± 0. 7) × 109/L,6. 6 ± 0. 5) × 109/L,granulocyte percentage( 0. 73 ± 0. 06),( 0. 61 ± 0. 06),C-reactive protein( 19. 1 ±1.8) mg/L,( 7. 2 ± 0. 6) mg/L improved more significantly in observation group, compared with the control group WBC( 7. 1 ± 0. 6) × 109/L,( 6. 8 ± 0. 5) × 109/L,granulocyte percentage( 0. 60 ± 0. 06),( 0. 60 ±0.06),C-reactive protein( 12.1 ±1. 2) mg/L,( 7. 7 ±0. 6) mg/L( P 0. 05). Conclusion Antibacterial agents in the treatment of acute upper respiratory tract infection has satisfactory application effect, and postponed use of anti-bacterial agents can significantly shorten the course with better safety, which is the preferred therapeutic regimen in clinical.
