Abstract
By adopting the method of questionnaire,an investigation into sports consciousness and leisure sports behavior has been done to 1840 students in ten middle schools of five different districts of Shijiazhuang city.The result indicates that middle school students in Shijiazhuang have strong sports consciousness but weak leisure sports behavior.As far as the time committed for sports activities are concerned,they often choose mornings and afternoons.As for the frequency of every week and lasting time of each activity,the figures of boy students are higher than that of girl students with remarkable differences.The leisure sports behavior and the choice of items also show many gender differences.
