Abstract
This paper outlines the connotation and the significance of water resources allocation,on the basis of summarizing the domestic and foreign water resources allocation,points out the research focus and the main research direction.Meanwhile,according to the national policy of water resources allocation in the 21st century,considering comprehensively water resources development and utilization in China when new questions appears,as well as the development of international climatic environment changes and water resources managerial technique,prospects the direction of water resources allocation.
