Regional East Asia and Intellectual "East Asia"

is both a concept of space-a geographic and regional concept and a concept of time-a historical and ideological concept. With the interference of modernity,East becomes a concept that always needs to be redefined and examined. Regional East Asia is the understanding and interpretation object of intellectual Asia,while intellectual is the Abstraction and exaltation of regional East Asia in theory and knowledge. Regional East Asia is characterized by closeness and multiplicity in structure and mobility and openness in function. Intellectual Asia,as a proposition,reflects the centre-periphery structure in academia and the ideological competition and appeal to power behind various knowledge. Modernity and East Asia are not a unilateral impact-response relation but a bidirectional mutually constructing symbiotic relation.
