The Vision of Regional Integration in East Asia and the Role China Plays

The characteristic of difference,Variety and complexity due to different histories and development modes exist in East Asia,makes regional integration in East Asia develop slowly,and trail Europe and American greatly.Using European integration for reference,based on reality of integration in East Asia,the space scope of integration in East Asia should be defined into fifteen countries and two regions.The long-term vision should be the East Asia alliance ,and the Northeast Asia free trade area and the East Asia community should be two important staggered targets. In process of integration in East Asia,China may play role of core country,axes country and crucial country.
