On the trend of democratic socialism in modern China

Democratic Socialism appeared in the end of the Qing Dynasty and at the beginning of the National Republic. It is a socialist trend that aimed mainly at the pursuit of political democratization and economic liberalization. This tread was represented by Jian Kanghu' three doctrines-no religion, no state and no family, New Democratism, New Socialism and Sun Zhongshan's National Socialism. These ideals not only represented different wishes of the Chinese people for a better society but also reflected in a certain degree the historical trend of the movement of China's modern society.
