Abstract

In the late 19th century and early 20th century,the Reformism has been well-developed and exerted an influence on the labour movement in Europe.During the same period,China has been in a semi-colonial and semi-feudal society,which didn't have the social structures for reform.From 1920s to World War Ⅱ,the Democratic Socialism thrived and had a golden developmental period in Europe.During the same period,with serious inner and outer problems,the Communist Party of China led the Chinese people to achieving national independence by means of armed revolution.Since the 1970s,the Democratic Socialism got into difficulties in Europe while the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics has made great achievements.The Democratic Socialism is unsuitable to China and the socialist road with Chinese characteristics is the right choice for Chinese people.
