Abstract
Interlanguage is a system of language used in the process of transforming a native language to the target language in Second Language Acquisition.Fossilization of interlanguage is a universal phenomenon in SLA and it can not be avoided in the foreign language learning,its correlational studies have practical significance on SLA.This paper deals with the characteristics of interlanguage and its fossilization,and puts forward some feasible strategies on college English teaching to prevent the fossilization of interlanguage,in the hope of making contributions to college English teaching in China.
