Abstract
Fossilization is an important aspect of study in second language acquisition. It has three most obvious characteristics: systematic, permeable and dynamic. It derives from multiple factors including communicative feedback, strategies of second language learning, language transfer, transfer of training and transfer of culture. The study of fossilization in interlanguage is of great help to college English teaching.
