Abstract
Objective:To investigate the feasibility of XTT colorimetric assay as a method for cell growth curves. Methods:The XTT colorimetric assay was used as a method for cell growth curves of ovarian carcinoma cell lines 3AO and was compared with the MTT assay. Results:The cell growth curve of 3AO obtained by the XTT colorimetric assay was not only similar to the MTT assay, but also more rapid and simpler than MTT.Conclusion:XTT colorimetric assay can replace MTT assay to measure the cell growth curve and is better than MTT.
