Abstract

To comparing the differences in three extraction methods of the total flavonoids in hawthorn leaves, experiments were conducted with Crataegus pinnatifida cv.'Tianshui' as materials for comparative researches on three extraction methods of the total flavonoids in hawthorn leaves. The three optimal extraction technologies were obtained by using single factor and orthogonal test design. The extraction rate, content of flavonoids and total flavonoids in three extraction methods were determined. The results showed that in three extraction methods, the extraction rate of immersion method was highest, reflux method was lowest, and supersonic method was between them;and the content of flavonoids of reflux method was highest, supersonic method was similar to immersion method;while the total flavonoids of the immersion method was highest and supersonic method followed, the lowest was reflux method.Every extraction method had its own features. The highest extraction rate and total flavonoids were obtained by immersion method with simple equipment, but longer extraction time. The highest content of flalvonoids was obtained by reflux method, which needed shorter extraction time. And in three extraction methods, supersonic extraction was a very convenient and efficient method, which needed least alcohol, shortest extraction time with higher yield.
