Abstract

To study total flavonoids content from hawthorn leaves by water extraction, the total flavonoids content was tested by spectrophotometer from 3 types of samples of A, B, C. Taking the total flavonoids content in extraction solution as an indicator for evaluation, the extraction conditions through orthogonal experiment was optimized, and the total flavonoids content among the hawthorn leaves in different periods was compared. Result showed that the total flavonoids content in sample B was the highest, and the optimal extraction condition was as follows: temperature 90℃, time 3h, pH 8.5, and solid to liquid ratio 1∶20. Under the condition, the total flavonoids content from hawthorn leaves was 10.375 mg/g.
