Abstract

Objective To observe the changes of nuclear factor kappa B(NF-κB) and IL-6 in rat after cerebral ischemia-reperfusion.Methods NF-κB and IL-6 in cerebral tissue of cerebral ischemia-reperfusion model rats built by MCAO were determined by immunohistochemistry to analyze imaging. Results The level of NF-κB expression increased gradually 6 hours after reperfusion, and reached peak 1 day after reperfusion, and then gradually decreased. The site and change principle of IL-6 expression was similar to that of NF-κB except of expression peak 2 days after reperfusion, and there was significant correlation between NF-κB and IL-6(P0.01).Conclusions NF-κB and IL-6 may play an important role in inflammation pathological process of cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury.
