Abstract

According to the common problems of waxy corn varieties and the successful breeding of Sukehuanuo 2008,this study made clear that the breeding targets for waxy corn were good qualities(including the edible quality,appearance quality and processing quality),high and stable yields and early maturity.Breeding ideas,methods of germplasm enhancement and ways of various characters selection were also discussed.At last,the perspective of waxy corn germplasm enhancement was put forward.
