Abstract
Objective To evaluate CT features of hepatic abscess and its pathologic basis. Methods The CT features of 21 bacterial hepatic abscesses proved by surgery or clinic were retrospectively studied. Results CT manifestations of hepatic abscess included signs of low density area(20/21,95.2%),the level of gas and liquid (3/21,14.3%),a piece of enhancement without any signs in no contrast CT (1/21,0.05%),septa enhancement (8/21,38.1%),double targets (9/21,42.9%),peripheral enhancement (11/21,52.4%).Conclusion CT,especially dynastic contrast CT,was helpful in the diagnosis of hepatic abscess.
