Abstract
In this experiment, acetic acid and isoamyl alcohol as raw material was used to synthesize isoamyl acetate, and factors on the reaction like amount of catalyst, radio of raw material, and reaction time, were investigated. The results indicated the most suitable condition for esterification reaction was as follows: the molar ratio of acetic acid to isoamyl alcohol was 3.0∶1.0,the amount of catalyst was 28%,and reaction time was 3h.Under the above condition, the yield of isoamyl acetate was 97.02%,pure degree amount to 98.41%.The improved experiments have advantages of easy treatment process, shorter time, high pure degree,non-corrosion and non-pollution to the environment. The catalyst could be used repeatedly for many times.
