Abstract
A cellulolytic mould fungus of Penicillium SP was isolated from decayed maize stalk, for which enzyme activity test and solid fermentation were carried out .The result showed the (Penicillium) SP is good to be used in stalk fermentation and animal feed production and it also revealled the CMCenzyme activity is 2.494mg/ml·30min and natural cellulase activity is 118.6mg/ml·d. After 3d fermentation the protein content was increased from 2.05% to 6.60%
