Abstract

Objective To study the diagnosis of intracranial aneurysm with rotational DSA and to evaluate interventional therapy. Methods 22 patients with intracranial aneurysms were studied with traditional and rotational DSA, and 2 of them underwent Guglielmi detachable coil (GDC) embolization therapy. Results The neck and body of aneurysms were well shown in 16 patients, and poorly revealed in 4 patients, and not visualized in 2 patients on traditional DSA, while the structures were demonstrated on rotational DSA in all patients. 2 patients received GDC embolization and were discharged within a week. Conclusion Rotational DSA is a good modality for the diagnosis of intracranial aneurysm. Embolization of intracranial aneurysm with GDC is a safe, effective and reliable treatment.
