Observation on Curative Effects of Huanglian Ejiao Decoction on Cases of Insomnia in Elderly Patients with Hypertension

Objective:To observe the curative effects of Huanglian Ejiao decoction on case of insomnia in elderly patients with hypertension.Methods:65 cases were randomly divided into treatment group and control group.Two groups were both treated with conventional antihypertensive therapy,the treatment group with Huanglian Ejiao decoction and the other group with Zaoren Anshen liquid.PSQI,syndrome score and ambulatory blood pressure were measured between two groups.Results:The scores of the points of PSQI had significant differences in contrast between before and after treatment.Treatment group had significant differenes compared with control group.Syndrome score of Huanglian Ejiao decoction was significantly superior to that of Zaoren Anshen liquid.Ambulatory blood pressure in both groups remained stable.Conclusions:Huanglian Ejiao decoction can significantly improve the sleep quality of patients with hypertension of kidney Yin deficiency.
