Abstract
The reaction heat, reaction entropy change,Gibbs free energy change and equilibrium constants of the reactions for the synthesis of diphenyl carbonate by transesterification of dimethyl carbonate(DMC) and phenyl acetate(PA) were calculated by using Benson and Joback group contribution methods. The results show that the transesterification systems of DMC and PA are some complexities. To increase the yield of DPC,the reaction processes and high efficiency catalysts must be investigated.
