Abstract

Objective To explore the distribution and resistance to antimicrobial drugs of Enterobacter cloacae isolated from clinical, and provide certain evidence for the clinical use of antimicrobial drugs. Methods Sputum, blood, urine and other kinds of specimens of patients in hospital were collected. The VITEK 2 Compact system was used to identify bacteria, the VITEK 2 Compact system and KB agar diffusion method were used to do susceptibility test and analyse the distribution of pathogen and susceptibility results. Results For 1 175 strains of Enterobacter cloacae which were mainly isolated from sputum, the sputum was accounted most, which was 653 strains(55.6%),and there were 150 strains(12.8%) from urine,135 strains(11.5%) from secretion,66 strains(55.6%) from blood, etc. Those strains showed a variety of antimicrobial resistance, the ratio of antimicrobial resistance of imipenem, levofloxacin, ampicillin, and cefazolin were 2.6%,16.2%,68.8%,95.6%,respectively.Conclusion Controling the spread of resistant strains and guiding rational use of antimicrobial drugs has significant in the promptly summarized and analyzed of distribution and resistance of Enterobacter cloacae.
