Investigation on the Effects and Mechanism of Jiuqi Niantong Capsule (JQNTC) on Oxytocin-Induced Dysmenorrhea Rats

Abstract

Objective To explore the effects and the mechanism of JQNTC on primary dysmenorrhea. Methods Oxytocin induced dysmenorrhea rats were divided into modeling group, positive controlling groups (i.e. Aspirin treated group and Yueyueshu group) and three treating groups, with JQNTC given in low, medium and high dosages respectively. The number and occurrence rate of writhing (WR), the property indices of hemorheology, i.e β EP,TXB 2,6 Keto PGF 1α in plasma, and the changes of PGF 2α ,PGE 2, NO, ET 1 in uterus tissue were observed. Results Compared with those of modeling group, (1)?the number and the occurrence rate of writhing in 30 minutes in 3 dose groups of JQNTC were significantly (P0.05) or highly significantly different (P0.01); (2)?the property indices of hemorheology, i.e. whole blood viscosity(ηb)ηs,MCV and EFT in 3 dose groups of JQNTC were significantly(P0.05) or highly significantly different (P0.01); (3)?the effects on β EP,TXB 2, 6 Keto PGF 1α in plasma in 3 dose groups were significantly (P0.05) or highly significantly different (P0.01); (4)?the effects on the contents of NO, ET 1,PGE 2,PGF 2α in uterus tissue in 3 dose groups of JQNTC were significantly(P0.05) or highly significantly different(P0.01).Conclusions JQNTC can effectively relieve pain in oxyfocin induced rats.improving the property indices of hemorheology and regulating the secretinon of β EP、 TXB 2、PGI 2 and PGE 2 in plasma and uterus tissue are some of the mechanisms.
