Abstract
Objective To assess safety and efficacy of Ambrocol oral liquid on lower respiratory tract infection symptom,such as cough,expectoration,gasp,polypnea,cyanosis,wheezing and wet rale,in children.Methods 126 children with lower respiratory tract infection (aged from 3 months to 8 years old) were randomly assigned to treatment group (with Ambrocol based on routine measure)and control group (with routine measure only).Results There was significant difference in clinical symptom improvement between the two groups.Conclusions Ambrocol was safe and effective for the lower respiratory tract infection in children.
