Abstract
The methods of isolation and extraction of A– and B–type starch granules in wheat were investigated. The results showed that A– and B–type starch granules were isolated effectively and quickly using the water column sedimentation and centrifugalization method. The optimized process parameters are that concentration of starch slurry 0.1 g/mL,centrifugal speed 200 r/min,standing time 40 min,and 3 times. The yield of A– and B–type starch granules were 74.2% and 23.7% respectively, the loss ratio of starch was 2.1%.The micrographs showed that A– and B–type starch granules were isolated completely under above conditions.
