An Analysis of the Contrast between Chinese and Japanese Translation Literature in Modern Times

The prosperity of Chinese and Japanese translation literature in modern times has a positive and profound impact on the literary circles of the two countries.Rooted in different historical and cultural background,in the process of digesting,absorbing and regenerating foreign literature,the two countries have stepped into different roads in the development of modern literature.This thesis,applying the method of literature comparison,aims at probing the differences and similarities of orientation and direction in translation literature resulted from differing social and historical backgrounds in the development of Chinese and Japanese modern literature,as well as their potential influence.
