Abstract
Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of continued lumbar drainage therapy combined with intrathecal injection for the treatment of intracranial infection. Methods 100 cases of patients treated in our hospital from February 2011 to June 2013 were randomly divided into two groups, the experimental group and the control group, each of 50 cases. Patients in the experimental group were treated with continuous lumbar drainage combined with intrathecal injection therapy and the control group were given continuous lumbar drainage treatment, clinical efficacy were compared between the two groups. Results The experimental group patients after treatment 47 cases(94% %) were cured, 1 case(2%) referral for treatment, 2 cases(4%) died, the cure rate was 94.0% %, compared with 78% of the control group had a significantly improvement. The difference of two group was statistically significant(P 0.05). Conclusion Continuous lumbar drainage therapy combined with intrathecal injection for the treatment of intracranial infection can effectively control and treat postoperative intracranial infection with high cure rate and reduce mortality and morbidity effectively with significant clinical effect. It's an simple safe, effective operation which patients understand less pain and is one of the effective methods of clinical treatment of intracranial neurosurgery infection which is worthy of promotion.
