Abstract
Lipid emulsion,as a major energy donor in parenteral nutrition, has been developed in many different formulation since 1960 s. Now the most widely used emulsion in clinical medicine is soybean oil LCT and MCT / LCT emulsion, but people has realized the inhibitory effect of soybean oil LCT and MCT / LCT emulsion on immune function and liver function. Olive oil lipid emulsion( Clin Oleic) is a mixture of olive oil( 80%) and soybean oil( 20%) with a lower concentration of PUFAs but rich in MUFAs. Olive oil lipid emulsion has less inhibitory effect on immune cell function and liver function, which has been proven to be more effective and safe in many clinical studies.
