Abstract
In this paper,source rock of Upper Permian in Sichuan Basin is not only analyzed but also contrasted.Results show that:(1) gas in Upper Permian mainly comes from Permian source rock and belongs to proximal type;(2) some highly gas-generated zones are mainly in south Dabashan foothill belt,East Chongqing depression-fold belt,Nanchong slope belt,Micangshan foothill belt and Yilong-Pingchang depression belt;(3) the main Upper Permian resources are distributed in east Sichuan highly steep belt,Nanchong slope belt and Yilong-Pingchang depression belt;and(4) some evaluation belts with a high resource abundance include south Dabashan foothill belt,Yilong-Pingchang depression belt and north Dabashan foothill belt.So,all belts are the best favorable exploration ones for Upper Permian in Sichuan Basin.
