Correlation between 326 gastritis cases and Helicobacter pylori infection

Abstract
Objetive To investigate relationship between infection of Helicobacter pylori( Hp) and gastritis degree, activity of gastritis,intestinal metaplasia,atrophy and dysplasia,and to make profit for clinicians to select appropriate antiHp therapy. Methods After gastroendoscopy,326 cases of gastritis were taken biopsy. Histological diagnoses were classified as chronic inflammation,active gastritis,atrophy,intestinal metaplasia and dysplasia. Correlation between density of Helicobacter pylori and chronic gastritis were analyzed. Results ① There was statistic relationship between density of Helicobacter pylori and degree of gastritis. ② There was statistic relationship between density of Helicobacter pylori and degree of activity of gastritis. ③ There was statistic relationship with density of Helicobacter pylori and gastric atrophy. ④ There was statistic relationship with density of Helicobacter pylori and dysplasia. ⑤ There was no statistic relationship between density of Helicobacter pylori and intestinal metaplasia. Conclusion The density of Helicobacter pylori is related to severity of the gastritis,activity of gastritis,gastric atrophy and dysplasia. There is no relationship between density of Helicobacter pylori and intestinal metaplasia.
