Helicobacter pylori and relationship with degree of chronic gastritis

Objective:To investigate relationship between density of Helicobacter pylori(Hp) and grading of gastritis.Method:Patients with epigastric symptom were ingested 14C-urea in a capsule,and breath samples were collected for detection of the CO2.Hp positive patients enrolled in this study(118 patients).After Gastroendoscopy,different signs were noted.Histological diagnoses were classified as severity of chronic inflammation.Correlation between density of Helicobacter pylori and Grading of gastritis were analyzed.Result: There are relationship between density of Helicobacter pylori and grading of gastritis.(χ2=27.621,P=0.001).Conclusion:As can be seen from the study,we believe that the density of Helicobacter pylori related to severity of the gastritis.
