Abstract

The essence of the South China Sea dispute is the competition for resources and strategic channel's control among countries around the South China Sea.The three major western international relations theories have certain enlightenment on China's rational actions in the South China Sea dispute.Realism could detect the essence of the dispute directly,but the inherent normal way of thinking can only magnify the conflict and doesn't really solve the problem.The identity on the cooperation of the Neoliberal Institutionalism will be helpful to solve the South China Sea dispute peacefully.While the emphasis on the concept of the Constructivism will be helpful to realize the bilateral non-controversial cooperation.
